JAMMU, Aug 1: JDA Employees Union (JDAEU), Jammu today discussed burning demands of the employees of the department, in a meeting held here under the chairmanship of its president, Ashok Singh Jamwal.
The meeting said that the 15 cases of appointment of beneficiaries of the officials, who died in harness under SRO 43, needs to be considered. Besides this, the meeting stressed for release of grade to Helpers, who have passed eligibility tests.
The speakers also stressed upon the authorities to implement the order of Double bench of J&K High Court regarding proper demolition and vacation of state land transferred to JDA and handing over of plots to those who have booked the same in newly carved out colonies such as Gole Gujral, Birpur, Roop Nagar and Kot Bhalwal.
The demands of repatriation of overstaying employees of Revenue/Engineering Wing, who were deputed to JDA and stopping of re-employment of retired Patwaris and Girdwars also figured in the meeting.
The speakers also asserted for re-organization in all JDA cadres, as the area of Master Plan 2032 has been extended upto 305 Revenue villages. They also demanded modification of recent order, wherein the section of the officials were changed.
The Union threatened the administration of staging dharna in the premises of Vikas Bhawan on August 8 if their demands are not met by then.
