JAMMU, Apr 24: A meeting of the office bearers of Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha (JCMS) was held today under the chairmanship of president Romesh Chander Gupta, where it was unanimously decided to release the quarterly community pension for widows, students and other needy members.
An amount of Rs 3,18,500 was distributed among 197 beneficiaries. General secretary Sanjay Mahajan said Rs 26,000 was also given to two poor women for their daughters’ marriages. The President appealed to the community to donate generously to support the weaker sections.
Those present included Shiv Partap Gupta, Ram Sarup Gupta (senior vice presidents), Surinder Gupta, Subash Gupta, Atul Gupta, Dr Mohan Lal Gupta, CP Gupta, Ramesh Gupta, Balbir Gupta, Sat Pal Gupta and Dr Mitranju Gupta.
