JCC Bank, SISSO observe ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign

JAMMU: As part of ‘Swacchta Hi Seva’ Pakhwada celebration, the Jammu Central Cooperative Bank Limited organized cleanliness drive in collaboration with Sulabh International Social Service Organisation (SISSO) today at the JCC Bank Head Office Complex, Sehkari Bhavan.

Jammu Municipal Corporation and J&K Service Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) also participated in the drive.

Director Horticulture, Anuradha Gupta, who is also Chairperson of JCC Bank, SDM North, Member Board of Administrator, JCC Bank, Mohammad Alyas Khan, Dr. Ranjeet Singh Kotwal and General Manager (Adm)/CEO, JCC Bank Mohammad Mushtaq and other officers took `Swachhata Hi Seva’ pledge on the occasion.

Anuradha Gupta, while addressing the gathering, stressed upon the need to keep our surroundings neat and clean for a healthy and disease free life. She appealed the participants to contribute in the noble cause of promoting cleanliness. She also appreciated the activities taken up by Sulabh International Social Service Organisation in the state.

Earlier, Mohammad Alyas Khan said that we should be committed to cleanliness as it is rightly said that ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness’. There is a need to protect environment and we all should keep our surroundings clean for a healthy environment, he added.

Hony Controller Sulabh International Social Service organization, Jammu and Kashmir Branch, A K Singh, apprised of the sanitation and social activities being taken up by the Organisation throughout the country. He said that Organization is working in 28 states in India and had constructed 10,500 public toilets which were being maintained on pay and use basis besides raising 13 lakh individual toilets (Sulabh Shauchalayas).

Expert SLRM Jammu, Dr Zaffar lqbal, delivered lecture on ‘Solid Waste Management’ and threw light on different programmes organized by the district administration under `Swachh Bharat Mission’.

General Manager (Adm)/CEO, JCC Bank, Mohammad Mushtaq, presented the vote of thanks.

Later, an exhibition was organised about the activities being conducted by Sulabh International Social Service Organisation.

A sanitation drive was also conducted in and around Jammu Central Cooperative Bank Head Office and Service Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) complex in which staff members participated.
