POONCH, Sept 4: An Army jawan was injured in a land mine blast in Nangi Tekri area near the Line of Control (LOC) in Rajouri sector today.
A Defence spokesman said that Sepoy Taqdeer Singh of 15 Dogra, deployed in the forward location in Nangi Tekri area, over stepped a land mine and sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to nearby Army unit hospital and then removed Military Hospital, Rajouri. His foot had been badly damaged. He was later airlifted to Northern Command Hospital, Udhampur.
