JAMMU, Nov 2: An Army jawan was injured in an accidental fire at his unit at Chakan-Da-Bagh in Poonch district this afternoon.
The injured soldier has been identified as Sepoy Vijay Chouhan of 14 Maratha Light Infantry.
Reports said the Army jawan was cleaning his rifle in the Unit when a bullet went off from it accidentally.
A bullet hit the jawan in his hand causing him a deep wound.
The injured Army jawans was rushed to the hospital, where his condition was stated to be stable.
Army was investigating the matter. The weapon of the Army soldier has been seized for investigations.
