JAMMU, Dec 14: An Army jawan was injured in a mine blast along the Line of Control (LoC) in Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district this morning.
“An own mine had drifted from the area along the LoC in Nangi Tikri forward area of Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch, and a jawan stepped on it resulting in a blast at 10.30 am today,” PRO (Defence) Lt Col Manish Mehta said.
In the blast, one jawan was injured and has been shifted to the Military Hospital for treatment, he said, adding that the area has been cordoned off and sanitisation operation was in progress.
The injured person is responding to the treatment.
