Javed Rana criticizes new recruitment policy

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, June 1: New recruitment policy of J&K Govt. is controversial, anti Youth and Society, said Javed Ahmed Rana and termed  Governor N N Vohra’s decision to return the draft on new recruitment policy, as “most required healing touch”.
He said that Youth of the State have been finding themselves in a lurch in the wake of clandestine recruitment of favorites through back door channels on the direction of politicians.
Mr Rana has  brought to the notice of coalition PDP-BJP Government  that this policy would cause frustration among the Youth and result in large scale of corruption, nepotism and favoritism.
He also said instead of finding more ways of employment for the youth the Coalition Government was  sprinkling the salt on the wounds of educated youths.
While credibility in the process of selection shall remain a big question mark, the temporarily nature of appointments with riders of seven years satisfactory performance for regularization is bound to result in uncertainty of those appointed, he said.
Mr Javed Ahmed Rana expressed  surprise over this policy and demanded immediate roll back of new policy which is a jeopardizing the career of educated unemployed, as  those appointed will feel a sward hanging over them.
He asked the Government to initiate the process of fast track recruitment policy through agencies like Public Service Commission and Service Selection Board.
