11th batch of 7th National Heritage Trek Expedition leaves for Pancheri

UDHAMPUR, June 1: The 11th and last batch of 27 trekkers hailing from Maharashtra, New Delhi and Gujarat participating in 7th National Heritage Trek Expedition left for Pancheri from Udhampur base camp.
The batch was flagged off by noted Gandhian Padamshree Er SP Varma, Chairman YHAI J&K State Branch for trekking to Pancheri and for onwards trekking being organized by Youth Hostels Association of India, J&K State Branch in collaboration with Udhampur Administration.
The batch included some of the most traveled and experienced trekkers of the country of varied age group from 18 years to 55 years of age.
Speaking on the occasion, Varma said that the trekking expeditions has been organized by YHAI with aim to increase the national integration, peace and understanding among the people of Indian nation and of world community.
He stressed upon the trekkers to interact with the local communities and learn about their experiences about the nature and share their experiences about life.
On the occasion, Balwan Singh, Deputy Director Adventure Promotion, Abdul Majid Malik LM, YHAI, Ramesh Abrol and Mulkh Raj Bemabgi were also present.
