MENDHAR, Dec 11: Former MLA and senior leader of the National Conference, Javed Ahmad Rana today accused the BJP-led Central Government of attempting division of the country by aggressively pursuing RSS agenda.
“National Conference will not allow Hindu-Muslim politics by this Government, which is hell bent to divide people on religious and regional lines through its actions like Citizenship Amendment Bill,” he said while talking to media persons at his residence, here today.
Maintaining that the nation belongs to everyone and Muslims have given more sacrifices for the country than any other community here, the NC leader appealed people to join hands for opposing this controversial Bill.
He said that after disturbing J&K, the BJP Government at the Centre was setting entire country on the fire and if its divisive moves are not effectively countered, the nation would suffer.
This was maiden press conference by Javed Rana after he was released following his four -month detention in August in the wake of revocation of Article 370 and 35A.
