KATHUA, May 9: BJP MLA Rajiv Jasrotia today inaugurated 45 developmental works worth nearly Rs 98 lakh in Panchayats Kishanpur Kandi and Chann Arorian, aimed at improving basic infrastructure and strengthening civic amenities in rural areas of the Jasrota constituency.
The works include construction and upgradation of lanes and drains, improvement of roads, development of public utility infrastructure, enhancement of water supply facilities and other projects intended to improve the quality of life for people living in the rural belt.
Addressing the gatherings at various locations, Rajiv Jasrotia said that development should remain above political considerations and every elected representative has the responsibility to work sincerely for the welfare of the people. He emphasized that rural and border areas require focused attention in terms of infrastructure, connectivity and civic facilities so that people living in these regions do not face hardships in their daily lives.
The BJP MLA said that people expect visible development and timely completion of projects, particularly in villages where basic infrastructure has remained inadequate for years. He maintained that continuous public interaction and on-ground assessment of problems are necessary for ensuring that developmental works are implemented effectively and transparently. Jasrotia assured the people that he would continue to raise public issues and work for the development of Jasrota constituency with dedication and commitment.
Interacting with local residents, the MLA also listened to various public grievances related to roads, drinking water, electricity and other civic concerns. He assured the people that all genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned authorities for early redressal.
The MLA assured the residents that no area of the constituency would be ignored and every effort would be made to ensure balanced and sustainable development. Highlighting the achievements, he said that several developmental initiatives have been launched across the Jasrota constituency, resulting in visible improvement in infrastructure, connectivity and public services. He emphasized that the BJP Government is committed to fulfilling the aspirations of the people and maintaining transparency and accountability in developmental works.
