Jasrotia alleges attempt on his life, demands CBI probe

JAMMU, Apr 22: MLA Kathua Rajiv Jasrotia today demanded a CBI probe into what he called that an alleged attempt was made to end his life by mixing some poisonous substance in the drinking water which he drank on April 15 at his official residence at Greater Kailash.
Talking to reporters here, today the MLA said that he had made a complaint with the Police Station Channi Himmat in this regard and the concerned Police Station had also registered FIR. The MLA said that he is putting up at residential house allotted to him by Government at Sainik Colony, Sector D and on April 14 while coming to his official residence from Kathua he purchased four bottles of mineral water from Greater Kailash.
He said during the evening and night on that day he drank some water and slept.
The MLA said next day after having break fast he drank some more water but it tasted a bit different. “I became suspicious and after checking the remaining water in bottle he saw its colour blue with some ingredients added to it.
Jasrotia said after becoming suspicious of all the sequences he sought an investigation by the police in the matter. He added that in his application to police he mentioned that he suspected the foul play by one of his servants Makhan who served food etc to him.
He said on his persistent demand the police took the samples of the water under the seal of Executive Magistrate and while analyzing samples the Public Health Lab, Jammu in its report submitted that sample contain suspended impurities and detergents and hence it is unsafe.
He said the samples were also sent to FSL Jammu for analysis on April 17 which in its report on April 21 said that no common poison/drug could be detected in the sample.
The MLA said that the sample was changed as the SDPO City East mentions in his letter to FSL Jammu that the sample contains blue colour while the FSL in mentions that the colour of the sample is green.
The MLA said that this clearly shows that the sample has been changed and hence a CBI probe be ordered in the matter to reveal the facts and people involved in it are punished.
