JAMMU, Aug 11: Former MP and senior Congress leader Janak Raj Gupta today laid foundation stone of room and renovation of bathrooms for public use at Christian graveyard, Prem Nagar Ward number 7.
The function in this regard was organized by All India Masih Seva Dal under the chairmanship of Camres David (Babloo), president of All India Masih Seva Dal.
Camres David appealed AICC president Sonia Gandhi and the party high command to nominate Janak Raj Gupta as Congress candidate for Jammu West or Jammu East Assembly constituency in the interest of minorities including Christian.
Shokat Peter, chief patron AIMSD and president Joint Churches Fellowship Jammu also spoke on the occasion.
Other dignitaries, who were present in the function, included Father Verky – priest of Catholic Church, Rev Udhey Singh – priest of St Paul Church, Pastor Vivek Singh – priest of Pentecostal Church, Rev Issac Bhatti – chairman AIMSD, Rev Inderyas Jamal- Vice Chairman AIMSD, Nico Demes – Vice Chairman AIMSD, Pastor Anthony Teji, Pastor Vinod, Retd SSP Bhupinder Singh, S Deedar Singh – president JKTUC, Kirtan Singh, Parshotam Mehra, Sunil Kumar Sharma, Ved Parkash Bhagat, Titus Gill, Rohit George, Rinku Gill, different churches priests, Masih Seva Dal members and Christian youth.
