Sir,
The waves were expected to change during this six years term of the elected representative of the people at Jammu, but, who knew that this monsoon season will again sweep away the aspirations of common man who used his “power of voting” and made the unseen, unnoticed faces noticed within the State and moreover gave them power to serve the ultimate power in the democratic system i.e. people of the State.. It is regrettable as well as disheartening when the common man of the State today again have witnessed the continued ‘precedence of discrimination’ and he has been again forced to come on the roads for seeking the fulfilment of the aspiration of the masses of the Jammu Province.
The so called representatives of common man in the province have back stabbed the trust, faith and confidence which common man had shown in the elected representatives with the only belief that the common man will not be discriminated again and atleast this time his voice will be heard at both ends (State as well as Centre). Whether it be 1967 agitation of Agriculture and Ayurvedic College, 1978 agitation with respect to disparities in appointment, Darbar move agitation, 1998 agitation pertaining to MBBS, or the agitations which today’s youth of Jammu has witnessed as of Amarnath Andolan, Central University agitation and now that of AIIMS..maybe next move will be for ‘ Smart City for Jammu’ whatsoever it may be.. the point is that a particular part of State unceasingly has to raise its voice at everytime and has to leave no stone unturned to get what remains “his own right”.
But the irony is that this time our own people were in majority but again the common nman of Jammu remained standing in queue while spread forth his hands in front of his own elected representatives. Where is the democracy ? Now where should the common man of Jammu go??? Today with tear gas, with shells, with lathi charge, with arrests of innocents, the common man of Jammu is again feeling deprived, neglected remained deluded by empty promises again. Henceforth, notably the fate of Jammuites is again in dilemma.
Yours etc…
