Jammu artists create painting on “Thank You Corona Warriors”

JAMMU, Apr 30: To dedicate a large size art work to the heroes of the hard times, a 2000 sq feet painting was created by local artists on the theme of “Thank You Corona Warriors”.
The idea behind “Thank You Corona Warriors” – a creative expression on canvas, was to dedicate a visual reminder of what our Prime minister has been telling on the social media to acknowledge their precious services to the country men as well as the Nation.
The painting work has been executed in the premises of University of Jammu, in acrylic paints medium. The artists who participated in this Civil Canvas Painting, included Amarjeet Singh, Arjinder Kumar, Ajay, Vijay, Balwinder Singh and Ravi Shankar. According to Amarjeet Singh, responsible for art direction and scenic designing: “As a citizen of India, I feel it was our duty to do something for the warriors of Corona crisis and demonstrate visually for the local appreciation by the artist community.”
Amarjeet Singh is a faculty in the Department of Applied Arts at Institute of Music & Fine Arts, (University of Jammu), Talab Tillo, Jammu. He acknowledged that it was possible with the help and blessings of HoD, Department of Applied Art, Rakesh Sharma and Principal IMFA, Prof Satnam Kour.
