JAMMU: The sleuths of Jammu, Anti Corruption Bureau on Tuesday registered case against the officers and officials of the JAKFED, the proprietor of the firm Shree Cement and others in connection with the bulk purchase of cement at highly exorbitant rates for having pecuniary gains and causing huge loss to the state exchequer.
ACB spokesman said that a verification was conducted to look into the allegations that the MD and other officers/officials of JAKFED had made bulk purchase of cement without any demand in lieu of pecuniary benefit and had dumped the stock at Ware House Store/Railway Complex Store thereby causing loss of Rs 15 per bag on account of carriage charges and had also allotted the contract for loading/unloading of cement of Railway Station valuing of Rs 30 lakh illegally after obtaining gratification etc. (AGENCIES)
