JAMMU, Sept 4: In the huge gathering of patrons, customers and staff, the Maruti Suzuki CIAZ Smart Hybrid (Diesel) Car was unveiled by General Manager Jamkash Vehicleades, Col Rattan Singh (Retd) and prominent bankers, here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Col Rattan Singh (Retd.), said that MSIL has pioneered the introduction of environment friendly programs ahead of Government regulations and the industry. Some of these include upgrading products to End of Life Vehicle (ELV) norms of Europe, production of BS-IV and E-10 compliant engines. Use of hybrid technology in CIAZ is another effort by the Company to contribute to a clean environment.
He also said,”CIAZ, the premium sedan, was presented to the car lovers in October 2014 and since then it has achieved several milestones and established itself among the category leaders in the segment and in the endeavor to further add to CIAZ’s edge over its competition, Smart Hybrid Technology has been introduced in the diesel variants of CIAZ.”
Mr Sumit Malhotra, DGM Sales informed gathering the salient features of Maruti Suzuki CIAZ Smart Hybrid (Diesel).” SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) technology uses an Integrated Starter Generator (ISG) and an advance high capacity battery.
He said this system supplements engine’s power, making it more efficient than the conventional set up, adding the energy saved while decelerating/braking, which is otherwise lost, is stored in the advance high capacity battery and assists during acceleration.
Priced between Rs 8.42 lakh and 10.38 lakhs, there are 5 different variants of Maruti Suzuki CIAZ Smart Hybrid (Diesel).
Built on Suzuki’s Total Effective Control Technology (TECT), CIAZ offers immense body rigidity and stability. It offers fortress-like protection to the occupants.
Extensive use of High Tensile Steel makes the body stronger and safer.
