JAMMU, June 26: The Appointments Committee of Union Cabinet has cleared the appointment of former Registrar General of J&K High Court R S Jain as Judicial Member of Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT).
R S Jain was appointed as Munsiff in the year 1987 and after being promoted as Sub Judge he served as CJM Leh, CJM Jammu, Deputy Registrar Judicial at High Court of J&K at Jammu.
Later, he was promoted as District Judge and served as District Judge Rajouri, Reasi, Ramban, Samba, Presiding Officer TADA/POTA, Additional Sessions & 1st Additional Sessions Jammu, Registrar Judicial, Principal District & Sessions Judge Jammu, Principal District &Sessions Judge- Udhampur, Registrar Vigilance at both wings of the High Court.
He attained the age of superannuation when he was holding the post of Registrar General of High Court.
