SRINAGAR, June 26: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara Khalid Jahangir inspected developmental works in Sub-Division Karnah and also interacted with the residents.
During his visit, DC chaired a public meeting cum grievances redressal camp at Tangdhar. Sub Divisional Magistrate Karnah Dr Aliyas, Tehsildar Karnah, Xen PWD, BMO Tanghdar, BDO, prominent citizens besides local public participated in the grievance redressal camp.
During the camp, the residents apprised of issues pertaining to PMGSY and R&B roads, dire need for deployment of staff in health and education departments, adequate supply and availability of ration at CAPD stores, improvements in the condition of roads, ensuring attendance and regular check on absenteeism in educational institutions and upgradation of schools and improved facilities in Primary Health Centres.
DC directed for completion of work at Degree College Tangdhar and also directed to expedite the pace of work at under construction building of High School Nachyan. He also inspected the helipad and urged for completion by the end of August this year.
DC also assured the affected families of flash floods and landslides in Teetwal of every cooperation, whereas at Dringla Agricultural Farm, he suggested for adoption of best farming practices.
DC also chaired public interaction meeting in Taad, Gabra and Hajitara areas of the Sub-Division, wherein he assured the people that their demands will be redressed in due course of time.
