* Reviews damages to Mini-Sectt

POONCH, Sept 20: Deputy Chairman Legislative Council, Jahanagir Hussain Mir today visited sports stadium Poonch and took stock of the various ongoing developmental works.
He was accompanied by ACR Poonch , CPO, XEn PWD Poonch and AEE Sports Council.
Expressing serious concern over the pace of ongoing works, Deputy Chairman said that before starting the new works it should be ensured that works already taken up are completed. He also stressed that the Sports Council authorities should work in tandem with the line departments to ensure time bound completion of the ongoing projects. He instructed the officers to prepare a detailed report regarding the pending works of the stadium and submit it to the concerned authorities so that the funds be got released as early as possible.
He also asked to reconsider the location where the changing rooms are to be constructed to ensure that adequate parking place is kept available. He strictly directed for proper upkeep of the stadium and asked for taking adequate steps to restrict the entry of stray animals in the compound.
Mir also asked the Sports Council to gear up the sports activities in the district throughout the year. He said that the issue of construction of youth hostel in Poonch has been taken up with the Youth Hostel Association of India.
Later, he also visited the Mini Secretariat building and reviewed the damage to the building in the recent militant attack in Poonch. He asked ACR and CPO to submit a report on damages to this building and also to the other private and residential buildings at an earliest and sent it to concerned authorities for compensation.
