JAMMU, Apr 3: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee/Soan Kashmir Front and displaced Hindu Youth Front was held at Jagti Nagrota under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, today.
The members said that Human Rights Commission had directed to provide electricity facility as it is being provided to the other consumers in the area. Earlier Shadi Lal Pandita has placed on record relevant document, on perusal of which it is manifest that the Relief Commissioner, Jammu has been paying the electricity dues to the department under scheme.
It has been also submitted that the PDD is providing electricity which is basic amenity of the migrants residing in Jagti Township for eight hours which is in all circumstances insufficient and inadequate.
It may be recalled that State Human Rights Commission has directed the department to provide electricity facility as is being provided to the other consumer in the area.
