Jagti residents plea to Edu authorities

JAMMU, Feb 8: The inhabitants of Jagti village have expressed concern over the deteriorating condition of Primary School Jagti which is without staff.
In a statement issued here today Amir Singh, ex Sarpanch Jagti, Mangal Singh and Rasal Singh retired Government officers today alleged that out of two teachers one being a female is on maternity leave while the other also does not attend the duty and the students have been kept at the mercy of one helper.
They alleged the school which was started over 25 years back had a good number of students at that time but it has now reduced to five students only due to lack of infrastructure and teaching staff.
They said though the matter was brought in the notice of the Higher authorities of Education Department number of times but they failed to take action in this regard.
