JAMMU, Dec 22: ‘Kahaani Suni Sanaayi’, the first ever e-audio book for children in Dogri language, authored by Jagmohan Sharma, was launched today.
R K Raina, Dy Director Prasar Bharti, who launched the e-audio book, appreciated this effort of Jagmohan and and described it nice as well as historical step to popularise Dogri.
According to Jagmohan Sharma, this was his attempt to tempt children with a craze to read, listen, speak and understand their own mother tongue Dogri in an easy and interesting way.
“I feel really bad when children and youngsters in urban milieu prefer speaking English or Hindi to Dogri. There is no harm in learning and speaking other languages but ignoring your own mother tongue of course is setting a bad precedent for others to follow,” he said.
