NEW DELHI, July 18: Amid calls by senior Congress leaders on Rahul Gandhi to play a larger role in the party, AICC President Sonia Gandhi today said a decision on this could only be taken by Rahul himself.
Talking to reporters at Parliament House after Mr Hamid Ansari filed nomination papers for a second term as Vice President, Ms Gandhi said, “no one can take a decision on his behalf. He (Rahul) has to take a decision.”
The comments by Ms Gandhi came in the wake of Law Minister Salman Khurshid and AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh calling for a larger role by Rahul Gandhi in the party.
