JAMMU, Dec 17: All J&K ITI Employees United Front today declared to observe mass casual leave programme on December 19 as already announced by the United Platform of the J&K Employees Unions and Associations.
Addressing a press conference here today, the Front president, Nazir Ahmed Molvi disclosed that as already announced by the United Platform of the employees’ bodies, the J&K ITI Employees United Front has also decided to observe mass casual leave on (Monday), December 19, 2016.
He claimed that decision in this regard was taken in a crucial meeting held here on Friday by the Front members under his leadership. Even daily wagers, casual and need based workers of various departments, pensioners are also observing this strike/ protest on Monday.
Nazir further said that after threadbare discussion the Executive Council adopted a resolution to support and observe mass casual leave programme of United Platform on Monday. He appealed to all the trade union leaders who are active in the State to support the United Platform programme for the common cause of State working class which is suffering badly due to the sky touching prices of essential commodities.
The Front leader asked the Technical Education employees in general and ITI Sector in particular, to participate and assemble in MAM Stadium Jammu on Dec 19, where a massive rally will be held to press the State Govt for immediate settlement of their pending demands. The main issues included, regularization policy for need base casual labours of all the departments who have been engaged after 1994 and payment of regular wages under proper wages head, implementation of 7th Pay Commission to the State Govt employees, PSU’s and pensioners at par with Central Govt employees, holding of DPC of all cadre, filling up the vacant posts, Amendment in recruitment rules for Gazetted / Non-Gazetted posts, regularization of vocational instructors those who are working on academic/ consolidated/ contractual and also enhancements of salary atleast basic pay with grade pay, removal of pay anomaly in pre-revised pay scale 6500-10,500.
Prominent Trade unionists Karan Singh, Naresh Sharma, Parvez Iqbal, Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, Bushan Khajuria, Din Mohd Dar, Raj Singh, Subhash C Sharma, Randhir Singh, Sumit Chandial and Rakesh Singh were also present.
