IT offices to remain open on Mar 29, 30, 31

JAMMU, Mar 28: All the Income Tax Offices in Jammu and Kashmir will remain open on March 29, 30 and 31.
As per the order issued by Mini Chandran U, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax (Hqrs), the office will work as per normal working hours during holidays and all the officers and staff have been directed to report accordingly.
This order has been issued in view of Office Memorandum issued by the Central Board of Director Taxes, New Delhi.
The Commissioner of Income Tax, J&K, A K Thatai has stated that the decision to keep the Income Tax Offices open in the State is to facilitate the assessees to complete the pending assessment work, collection of taxes and to achieve budget targets fixed for Commissionerate of Income Tax, J&K for the financial year 2013-14.
