JAMMU, Mar 28: A 2-day workshop on the topic ‘Techniques in Science and Preparation of Projects for better Understanding of Science’ was organized by the Department of Botany, Government College for Women (GCW), Parade, which concluded here today.
The faculty members of the Departments of Botany, Chemistry, Physics and Zoology participated in the Workshop.
The workshop started with an Inaugural Session, wherein Dr Hemla Aggarwal, Principal of the College was the chief guest.
The inaugural Session was the brainstorming sessions to workout errant projects to be undertaken at undergraduate level.
In the second and third Sessions, 6 technical presentations were made and the discussions on how to formulate small short term and long term research projects were undertaken subject related and interdisciplinary.
A list of interdisciplinary projects was also framed to be included in the curriculum under the Star College Scheme.
