JAMMU, Sept 14: As a part of ongoing Seva Saptha program former president BJP J&K, Sat Sharma (CA) along with other senior leaders of the party gifted walking sticks to differently abled person, distributed eatables amongst specially abled children and planted saplings in various areas of Jammu West today. He was accompanied by district president of the party Munish Khajuria, BJP additional publicity secretary, Ayodhya Gupta, Mandal presidents, Raveesh Mengi and Keshav Chopra, corporator, Neelam Nargotra, district general secretary, Karan Sharma, local residents and political activists of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said “Though we are regularly doing social work in one way or another but the occasion is special this week as it is PM Narendra Modi’s birthday on 17th September and party at all India level has decided to observe Seva Saptha for full week from 14 to 20 September by helping needy and doing other programs concerning the protection of our environment, honoring veterans and others”. He stated that the PM in almost every speech talks about the needy and poor people and how we must help in overcoming these problems which makes us equally accountable and establishes our prime duty to look after the needy.
Munish Khajuria said that all programs in Jammu West concerning Seva Saptha will be held by following the norms of social distancing laid by Government of India and it will also be seen that rest programs that are to be observed are done systematically keeping in view the impact if COVID- 19.
Raveesh and Keshav said that the programs will be held at booth level in every Ward of Jammu West and safety measures will be taken in conducting each program.
Puneet Mahajan, Yash Pal Shivgotra, Sangeeta Verma, Sanjay Bhat, Satyabhushan Dubey, Rohit Gupta, Kulbir Singh, Vishal Gupta, Abhishek Sharma and others were also present in the programs.
