JAMMU, Sept 16: Apni Party Provincial President of Women Wing, Namrta Sharma has claimed that there is anger among the people because bureaucrats have become unapproachable and the issues of public concern remain unsolved.
“The situation has not changed from the last one year and the governance is missing on ground,” she said while addressing a group of women who joined Apni Party in presence of its Provincial President Jammu, Manjit Singh, Aijaz Kazmi, Abhay Bakaya, Raqeeq Ahmed Khan, Vaibhav Mattoo, Gourav Kapoor and other leaders.
She also claimed that the grievance redressal mechanism has failed completely and the Lt Governor should hold public darbar in all the districts.
The Apni Party leader said that gap between people and administration has widened during the last one year in absence of an elected Government in J&K.
“People can easily approach their elected MLAs and Ministers and their issues are redressed. However, in the present situation, there is a feeling of helplessness among the people,” said Former Minister Manjit Singh.
He also appealed to the administration of Lt Governor to adopt a public friendly approach.
The women who joined Apni Party were Geeta Khajuria, Sapna Sharma, Vipna Devi, Roma, Archana Sharma, Monica Sharma, Sugandha Sharma, Pallavi, Anjali, Premlata and others.
