Issuance of passport to Geelani not justified: KPC

JAMMU, May 20: Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) strongly criticized the PDP leaders Mehbooba Mufti and Nayeem Akhter for pleading for the issuance of passport to traitor and Pak agent Syed Ali Shah Geelani which has fully exposed covert relations between Geelani and Mufti.
KPC chief Kundan Kashmiri stated that Geelani has been booked under various sections of RPC and other penal laws of the land as well as accused of seditions.
He added that there have been instances when students, Haj pilgrims, parents and relatives of separatist elements have been denied travel documents for their remote connection with militants.
“Issuance of passport on humanitarian grounds to Geelani cannot be justified by any means”, he said and demanded that instead of issuing passport he should be booked and arrested under sedition act for pro-pak activities and for recently organized two anti-national rallies in the Valley.
