JAMMU, Nov 3: Commandant Indian Reserve Police (IRP), 4th battalion, Pankaj Maghu, passed away this evening due to lever ailment in the Government Medical College (GMC), hospital.
Mr Maghu was admitted in the GMC this afternoon due to bleeding in lever. He was administered blood and given other treatment but he passed away within hours of hospitalization.
The body was shifted to his Sainik Colony residence where senior police officers paid tributes to him.
Mr Maghu, a 1993 batch KPS officer, was 54. He is survived by his wife and two daughters. He was posted as Commandant in IRP 4th battalion, headquartered at Channi Himmat.
The cremation will take place at 1 pm at Shastri Nagar cremation ground on Sunday.
