IRP 6th Bn organizes prog to pay tribute to Police martyrs

SRINAGAR, Aug 2: The IRP 6th Battalion Batamaloo organized an event in which fifty students, both girls and boys of Government High School, Zewan visited the J&K Police Martyrs’ Memorial at APC Zewan and paid floral tribute to fallen heroes.
Two students of 9th standard spoke about the sacrifices offered during our country’s freedom struggle. Patriotic songs performed by the J&K Police orchestra enthralled the audience during the programme.
The students were impressed upon to remember the huge sacrifices made by the freedom fighters, security forces and the jawans of J&K Police. Gifts were distributed among the participant students and they were also served packed refreshments. The event was organized under JK Police’s Civic Action Programme.
Suhail Munawar Mir, Commandant IRP 6th Battalion, APC Batamaloo, Sukhdev Raj, Commandant JKAP 9th Battalion, Zewan and Sanjay Singh Rana, Commandant 12th Battalion Security, Zewan besides Zahoor Ahmad, DySP IRP 6th Battalion and other officers of the unit attended the event.
