JAMMU, Mar 5: President Jammu and Kashmir Unit of INTUC, Shiv Kumar Sharma has lashed out at the UT administration and BJP for betraying the daily wagers, need based and casual workers, who are being forced to fight on streets, for their rights, after decades of rendering services on meagre wages.
In a statement here today INTUC castigated the BJP for betrayal  and backtracking of their promises made to the daily earners before elections in 2014 and now failed to give them their due after over seven years in power. The daily wagers are being forced to fight on the streets after rendering decades of rendering continuous services on meagre wages, which also not paid to them regularly. The Govt itself violates its own law of Minimum Wages Act and exploits the poor and labour class.
The daily wage, need based, CP workers, casual labourers, land   donors are now fed up with the false promises and would teach the BJP a lesson in the coming elections, if they are not regularized and given them due rights. He pleaded for payment of all pending arrears, strict implementation of minimum wages Act and immediate decision of their regularisation in all departments, failing which the struggle for rights shall be intensified.
