JAMMU, Dec 8: Stressing that the interface with the community leaders and representatives is imperative as for as taking key decisions pertaining to the displaced community is concerned, BJP MLC, Surinder Ambardar today said that this will lead to restoring the confidence of the displaced Pandits from Valley to a great extent.
The BJP MLC was talking to reporters at the sidelights of a function here today. He said immediate steps be taken in this regard and process of bifurcation, inclusion and accommodations should be made easier and all the pending cases be resolved without any delay.
Ambardar said as a step to CBMs the Temple Bill should be passed in the coming Session of Legislature, Government should investigate and set up Fact Finding Commission which shall look into the genesis of the exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits and also come up with the names of the killers of Pandits along with the complete investigation report of massacres of Wandhama, Sangrampora and Nadimarg.
Amabardar said that a detailed report should be submitted which should have the exact details of the encroachments which have taken place on property and land of displaced KPs in Kashmir Valley and all the tress-passers should be dealt with strict action. He further added that Government should create an environment for safe and dignified return of displaced people and also form a Screening Committee within the community which should be part of all the decisions which the Government intends to take regarding return module ensuring the political and religious guarantees and the apprehension of refoulment be also taken into consideration.
He said that the return of 70,000 KP families to their roots will revive the Rishi sufi fabric which is an important ingredient of Kashmiriyat that is unfortunately in the eroded State as of now.
Ambardar made it clear that there should be no confusion as far as the construction of 6000 apartments in the Valley are concerned as the same is only for displaced employees who have gone there to work or will be going for employment.
