‘Soldiers we are’

Patriotic fervour flows

In our veins;

We stand with our nation

In all the situations,

Fearless protectors we are,

Soldiers we are.

Toughest, unfavorable

Weather conditions

Hardly affect our morale,

Humid hot, rains and chilling winds,

We face those all,

Soldiers we are.

We are ready to sacrifice

Our lives for the nation;

No amusement, only strict discipline.

We carry guns and maintain

The peace and harmony of the country,

Courageous we are,

Soldiers we are.

Welcome May!

Hey May! please be mine, this time

Please don't be tough, also be kind

May don't rush like winds

Be the hush and sits beside

With me please stay alittle sweet

With u, I want to cherish all my dreams

May, now I'm stuck in midway

Can't step back but yeah move forward

But hope the path ahead is right

Please May, don't be harsh, be kind,

This time, don't let my prayers just go in vain

What if my whispers reach out through my pain

Don't leave me in hurried tides

This month atleast, I want to live not just stay alive

A dream of chasing something

And yeah dreaming big

But just for a while, want to live just in peace

Please May be kind,

Just wrap peace around my mind

“Petal in Battle”

A clear blue sky,

A lovely day to bloom.

I do my morning stretch

And unfurl.

“Oh, you love my red?

I love it too.

It was suffocating to hug my knees

And cocoon for a week or two.”

Oh, I love the world around—

It's beautiful and round.

Is that a silver stem?

The one with prickles like mine?

I bend to check, but no—

I have it green.

The silver metal wire

Is definitely not my being.

Midnight, I respire silently.

But wait... is that the sun?

Alas, no.

It is a yellow light.

Not my sun.

“Me! Me! ME!”

I call out to the man,

Who picks my friends—but not me.

I am left alone,

In this adorable plant of green,

Feeling the gentle breeze.

Maybe tomorrow it's me.

I breathe...

But the dusty winds blow.

I look around

And find myself lost in a wild storm—

Rumbling roars I never knew,

Haunting, the dusk’s view.

I look around, coughing.

The man who plucked my friends remains still.

My friends lie mashed,

Marinated in bloody dune-dust dough.

I witness it all from where I stand.

“Save me too! Save me—please, save me too!”

I wail to burnt scent,

Which floats to no extent.

Distressed, I hug my knees

And make a cocoon—no more green and strong.

I camouflage the battlefield

With dusty yellow around my reds.

I crumple in fear and pain,

As I lose my mind,

My body in vain.
