Inhuman gesture

I
Sir,
It was painful to learn that former Indian Navy Officer Kulbhushan Jadhav, who is on death row in Pakistan for alleged spying, was not allowed to meet his mother and wife, while the security check of the family was already performed. On the one hand, Pakistan claimed to be believing thoroughly in basic human rights and portrayed this meeting as a humanitarian gesture to mark the birthday of the country’s founder Mohammad Ali Jinnah. And on the other  hand it deprived a man of meeting his own mother and wife and talking to them freely. How shameful it is! Is it humanity to build a wall between a mother and a son, between a wife and a husband ?

Sir,
This has reference to the news item’ Jadav meets family’ DE Dec 27, 2017.
This was the first meeting between Kulbhushan Jadhav and his mother, and the wife since March 2016 when he was kidnapped by Pak spies on charges of espionage from Iran. But the way meeting took place was quite shocking. The way his mother, and wife were treated is worth  condemnation. The Pak authorities humilated and harassed them through every means on the pretext of security. Most shocking was the moment when his mother was not allowed to talk to him in Marathi. This was mere a publicity stunt on part of Pakistan  and not a human gesture. Indeed, an inhuman gesture.
