Indo-Pak troops meet on LoC

JAMMU, Mar 23: Indian and Pakistan Armies troops today exchanged greetings and sweets at two places along the Line of Control (LoC) at Rawlakote near Chakan-Da-Bagh and Hot Spring Crossing Point, Mendhar in Poonch district.
The joint meeting between Army troops of the two hostile neighbours took place to commemorate Lahore Resolution passed on March 23, 1940 and adopting of Pakistan’s Constitution during transition of the Dominion of Pakistan to Islamic Republic of Pakistan on March 23, 1956.
The sweets were exchanged at Poonch-Rawlakote Crossing Point and Hot Spring Crossing Point at 11.30 am as per established drills in a congenial environment. The meetings at both the places lasted half an hour.
Greetings on the occasion of Pakistan Day were conveyed to the Pakistani people and Army by the Indian delegation, official sources said.
