Indo-Pak troops exchange fire in Uri

SRINAGAR, Jan 29:  Pakistani troops today fired at Army’s forward posts in Uri sector of Baramulla district of North Kashmir after a massive blast took place near the Line of Control (LoC) in Salamabad Nallah this afternoon.
A massive blast took place in Salamabad Nallah near the LoC in Gohalan area in Uri at around 1:30 p.m today. This was followed by firing from Pakistani troops on Army’s forward post who retaliated and intermittent firing continued.
Sources said that Army noticed some movement in the same area this evening at around 7 p.m and targeted the area. However, Pakistani troops also fired back and intermittent firing is going on. Sources said that there are some casualties on the other side.
In the meantime, a boy who was missing since last week returned home in South Kashmir today. One Amir Ahmad Wani son of  Manzoor Ahmad Wani of Chansar Kulgam in South Kashmir was missing from his home since January 22,  2018. It is not known whether he had joined militancy or not.
And a complete spontaneous strike was observed in twin districts of Shopian and Pulwama in South Kashmir today.
All the shops and commercial establishments were closed in the district while as transport was also off the roads.
