India’s GDP growth shatters Rahul Gandhi’s propaganda: Gaurav

JAMMU, June 6: BJP Spokesperson and Convenor, International Affairs Department, Gaurav Gupta, today launched a scathing attack on Congress party and its leader Rahul Gandhi following the release of official GDP figures showing India’s economy growing at an impressive 7.7 percent in FY 2025-26 and 7.8 percent in the fourth quarter, asserting that the data has completely demolished the opposition’s false and malicious narrative of a “dead economy.”
Gupta said the latest economic indicators are a resounding endorsement of the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a fitting reply to those who have consistently attempted to undermine India’s achievements for political gains. He said Rahul Gandhi’s repeated attempts to portray India as an economically distressed nation have not only been proven wrong but have also exposed the Congress party’s disconnect from ground realities and the aspirations of the people.
“At a time when the entire world is acknowledging India’s rise as a major economic power and growth engine, Rahul Gandhi chose to echo narratives that demeaned the country and insulted the hard work of millions of Indians. By endorsing the description of India as a ‘dead economy,’ he did not attack the Government alone; he insulted Indian entrepreneurs, farmers, workers, professionals, innovators and youth who are driving the nation’s progress,” Gupta said.
Gaurav said the Congress party owes an apology to the nation for repeatedly attempting to tarnish India’s image before the world and for questioning the country’s economic capabilities. “India’s economy is not dead; it is thriving, expanding and leading. The only thing that stands discredited today is the politics of misinformation being practised by Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party,” he added.
