India’s forex reserves down by 1 bn dollar

NEW DELHI, May 21:  India’s forex reserves dipped by 968 million dollar to 361.02 billion dollar in the week to May 13, RBI data show.

Country’s foreign currency assets declined by 950 million dollar during the week.

The value of SDRs held by the RBI dropped by 6.9 million dollar, while reserves maintained by the Government with the International Monetary Fund fell by 11.1 million dollar.

There was no change in value of gold stock maintained by the RBI.
