JAMMU : With an aim to restore peace and calm along the Line of Control, both India and Pakistan will be holding a flag meet tomorrow at Chakan-da-Bagh crossing point in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“India and Pakistan will hold a Brigade Commander level flag meeting tomorrow at Chakan De Bagh crossing,” Col S D Goswami, defence spokesperson here today said.
He said the meet will be held to address the issue of ceasefire violations on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.
The ceasefire violations had escalated in last few days and had resulted in large number of civilian causalities and collateral damage to properties.
“The field commanders from both sides will discuss the modalities to defuse the tense situation on border,” said the Colonel. (AGENCIES)
