JAMMU, July 28: As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahaotsav and Outreach programmes under the guidance of Mona Singh, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax (AU), Jammu, Income Tax Department organized a poster making competition for children of Ved Mandir, Ambphalla.
Theme of the competition was ‘Celebrating Azadi Ka Amrit Maha Utsav’. More than 130 students from Class 1st to Class 10th participated in the competition and presented their skills.
The children were also told about the importance of taxes in nation building and the bright future that lies ahead of them.
The department was represented by Rakesh Kumar, Addl CIT, Satbir Singh, JCIT; Amit Kumar, DCIT, Rajni Sharma AD (OL), Dharminder Gupta, ITO; Satesh Kaul, ITO; Ajay Gupta,ITO; Rajni Gupta, SrPS; Prince , Steno whereas Suresh Gupta, President; Sudesh Pal, Secretary; Amita, Vice President ; Kewal Krishan, Senior member alongwith office bearers and teachers were present on behalf of the trust.
On July 26, an outreach programme was conducted at Katra by Parvesh Khajuria, ITO, Katra. Substantial number of people from different fields like, hotel industry, contractors, salaried employees especially from the Shrine Board. Medical, teachers etc participated in the event.
Queries with respect to due dates of payments of advance tax, return filing, chargeability of capital gains, application of section 269ss and 269T were raised and satisfactorily replied.
Pertinent to mention that during the months of June and July 2022, various programs were conducted by the Income Tax Department across Jammu Division as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahaotsav and Outreach programmes under the guidance of Mona Singh, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax (AU),Jammu.
