JAMMU: Principal Commissioner, Income Tax, Jammu and Kashmir, Sangeeta Gupta today called on Governor N N Vohra here at the Raj Bhavan.
Ms Gupta briefed Governor about issues relating to the assessment and collection of income tax in the State, monitoring tax evasion, generating information about the defaulters, high value transactions, etc.
She also briefed the Governor about the functioning of the “Aaykar Seva Kendras” in J&K and their utility in redressing the grievances of the Tax payers.
The Governor complimented her on the valuable initiatives which she has taken after taking over in J&K, especially in regard to the enlargement of the tax base. (AGENCIES)
