The decision of the Union Cabinet to raise salary of the Central staff is a welcome step. The implementation of 7th Pay Commission by the Central Government is a laudable step. Taking a cue from this decision, the State Govt being a responsive and welfare oriented needs to implement 7th Pay Commission report in letter and spirit and its benefit be extended to the pensioners with ‘One Rank One Pension’ formula since January 2016.
Medical allowance be enhanced to Rs 1000 per month as the employees/pensioners are facing a lot of hardship in view of increasing prices of medicines and doctor’s consultation fees.
