Implement SAC decision on regularization: JKEEGA

JAMMU, Sept 29: The Jammu and Kashmir Electrical Engineering Graduates Association (JKEEGA) which met here, today under chairmanship of SachinTickoo its general secretary decried the delay in the issuance of regularization orders of the engineers of Power Development Department.
The members made a fervent appeal to LG, Manoj Sinha and Chief Secretary, Arun Kumar Mehta to implement the SAC decision dated 22.10.2019 wherein it had directed the proposal for regular promotions of Power Development Department be processed on fast track at Departmental level without referring to Public Service Commission (PSC) as one-time exemption and whole process was supposed to be completed within two months i.e by 30.11.2019 to address the 20 years pending issue of regularization in Power Development Department.
The meeting which among others was attended by Ashok Kumar Dubey, vice-president, Rajeshwar Jamwal, provincial publicity secretary, Yash Paul, organizing secretary, Parshottam Sharma and Vipul Sharma treasurers of Association alleged despite a lapse of nearly two years not even a single engineer has been regularized. The instant proposals under consideration are of retired engineers who have retired way back in 2004 and are yet to be regularised. The Association said that the Current sitting Managing Directors/ Chief Engineers/Superintending Engineers are all Assistant Engineers and most of the sitting Executive Engineers are Junior Engineers in substantive capacity and are only officiating the higher assignments in-charge capacity with no emoluments of the higher positions.
