Impact of rising inflation

Sir,
The problem of inflation (continue rising of prices) is one of the major problems, the country is facing today. The incisive problem has impacted the life of almost all, irrespective of whichever strata of the society they belong. Those falling in the upper strata may have been hurt  marginally and may be able to absorb the pinching high prices, but those belonging to the middle class as well as the lowest rung of the society viz poor and downtrodden face skyrocketing prices of almost all the essential items necessary for  sustaining them on day-to-day basis with a heavy heart.
The crop losses obviously due to excessive rains in the State of Maharashtra are stated to be the main reason for the spiraling  prices of onions but apart from that I think the hoarders or black marketeers are immensely responsible for the hike in the prices of onions. And there appears to be no attempt on the part of the Govt Agencies to conduct raids etc on the traders and middle men engaged in hoarding and black marketing.
The prices of vegetables have touched an all time high so much so that no vegetable is available in the market at less than rupees 40/- per Kg and some of the vegetables have touched even rupees one hundred and more thus making them out of bound for the common man. The household budgets of kitchen holders (house wives) have got shattered in the process and many of them have been either forced to stop the use of onions or have curtailed its use in their daily cookings.
Inspite of  all aussrances of the Government towards containing the inflation, the situation remains precarious and it appears that all  policies of the Government towards containing the inflation have failed thereby, giving jitters to the common man on the street.
We see, irked by the rising prices of essential commodities, the daily ingredients in cooking, the people come on the streets and lodge their protest and rue the Government’s failure to control the rising prices.
Yours etc….
