DODA, May 2: Police seized illicit timber and registered a case against 3 persons during search in Tanta area of tehsil Kahara.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team of Police Post Kahara led by ASI Ali Mohammad started search operation in forest area in Tanta area of tehsil Kahara.
During search, the sleuths seized 500 cft (133 scant) of illicit timber.
The seized timber was later handed over to Forest Department for further action under Forest Act.
A case under relevant sections has been registered against Mohammed Asgar, Riyaz Ahmed and Shafqat Hussain at Police Station Gandoh and investigation started.
The whole operation was carried out under the supervision of SHO Gandoh Inspector Arun, DySP Gandoh M Nawaz Khanday, Additional SP Bhaderwah Raj Singh Goria and SSP Doda Mumtaz Ahmed.
