JAMMU, Dec 17: Bishnah police seized large quantity of illicit liquor, while the accused lady managed to escape.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Bishnah Police Station led by SHO Inspector Rajesh Sharma under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary and SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal conducted a raid and seized 15 litres of illicit liquor, which a lady was selling among the people.
The accused lady identified as Raj Rani, wife of late Tilak Raj, a resident of Chumbian Jattan managed to escape from the spot by taking benefit of the darkness.
A case under FIR Number 271/17 under Section 48-A Excise Act has been registered at Bishnah Police Station and hunt has been launched to arrest the lady.
