REASI, Feb 15: Police today raided and smashed illicit liquor distill at village Bhabbar, under the jurisdiction of Reasi Police Station.
Acting on specific information that one person namely Gurucharan Singh of Bhabbar Reasi, was indulged in illegal preparing and selling of Desi liquor, a Police team conducted a raid at village Bhabbar and recovered 12 litres illicit liquor and a drum containing 80 litres Lahan.
Besides this, utensils have also been recovered from the spot. The accused fled away from the spot and the efforts were on to nab him. The recovered liquor as well as utensils have been seized and Lahan destroyed on the spot. In this connection, a case FIR No. 28/2016 U/S 48-(b) and (f) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Reasi.
