JAMMU, Feb 1: The Geology and Mining department seized over 120 MT of mining material from Akhnoor area today.
Official sources said that on receiving regular complaints from people the Department of Geology and Mining under supervision of DMO Jammu Vishal Dogra raided village Dalpat in Akhnoor where the team seized three dumps of illegal mining material measuring 40 MT sand each.
The raid was carried out by team led by Varinder Singh Supervisior Department of Geology, Mining. The mining was done in violation of the High Court orders.
