SRINAGAR, Sept 9: Pulwama district administration has started a campaign against the illegal brick kilns and demolished several of them.
Tehsildar Pulwama, Malik Waseem said that the five brick kilns were demolished in Shahoora and Latoora belt of the district. “They were served notices and we had given them month’s time for registration but they didn’t complete formalities and as a result we demolished the kilns,” he said.
He said that further 13 brick kilns operating in the district are scanner and they have also been served notices to complete the legal formalities. The official said that if they fail to complete the formalities and documents, the authorities would initiate action.
